DYSPORT

Dysport® is an FDA-approved non-surgical treatment that works by relaxing facial muscles, thereby reducing and smoothing away frown lines and wrinkles.

Dysport® works similar to Botox. It blocks impulses from the nerve to the facial muscles that are related to expression lines. Both Dysport® and BOTOX®relax the muscles. After treatment, the overlying skin remains healthy, smooth and unwrinkled while the untreated facial muscles contract in a normal fashion, allowing normal facial expression to be unaffected.

If dynamic wrinkles make you look older than you are, Dysport® can smooth these out and give you a more youthful and pleasant appearance. However, this procedure cannot improve wrinkles due to aging and sun-damaged skin since they are unrelated to facial muscle contractions.

What is the main difference between Dysport® and BOTOX®?Independent, side-by-side studies have shown that the main difference between the two products is that results with Dysport® appear sooner and may last longer than those with BOTOX®.
