How does Sculptra work?
Sculptra is injected into the deeper level of your skin, the dermis, where the collagen strands support your skin structure. Because each person is unique, some people are satisfied with the results after a single treatment, while others require up to three or four over a three-month period. How is Sculptra different?
Most dermal fillers are made from hyaluronic acid and are absorbed over time, requiring re-treatment. These are excellent fillers, but Sculptra is different. It contains poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA), a collagen stimulator. The PLLA particles are suspended in a fine gel, and when injected, this product not only smooths lines and creases, but continues to work as the PLLA particles are absorbed. Sculptra continues to send signals to your skin to produce higher levels of collagen. The result? Firmer, more supple skin.
